It's the ultimate personal accessory, and often a great gift idea.
Classic wallets are flimsy, and cards can break or become demagnetised (there's nothing more unpleasant than a mute card when paying the bill).
They're impractical: it's hard to grasp the cards with your fingertips, and the cards are stacked on top of each other so you can't see the one you're looking for.
They're generally too big, distorting your pockets and can even cause sciatica from sitting on a huge wallet. What's more, they all look the same…
To revolutionise the wallet market, it was necessary to create a new category of wallets, the smart wallet or smart case.
A sort of pocket case, both rigid and light, to protect your cards in style.

Thomas, the brand's founder, spent many years in Stockholm, Sweden. It was there in 2002 that he came up with a hard wallet, inspired by Scandinavian design, but also by the cigarette cases used by dandies in the last century and the aluminium flight cases of the 1930s.
The smart wallet was born.

OGON Design has been based in Normandy, France since 2009. A team of around twenty people work on product conception, design and the assembly of certain models.
Despite our desire to make products that are 100% made in France, we were unable to do so.
Our aluminium is imported from Korea, our pigments from Japan and our anodising is done in Taiwan, in the same factory that has been operating for 20 years.
These exclusive partnerships guarantee us control over quality and processes.

ÖGON Design wallets have been designed not only to prevent cards from being demagnetised, but also to prevent fraud and data theft.
ÖGON was the first to design a wallet incorporating RFID protection.
All our products are ‘RFID Safe’ certified, guaranteeing optimum protection at all times.

3 Euros for an aluminium wallet that looks identical to an original ÖGON may seem like a good deal! Obviously, at that price, it's a rip-off. Not only will it fall apart the first time you use it (the clasp breaks, divider tears, fake aluminium covers come off, etc.), but these copies also present health risks, with lead concentrations 1000 times higher than the norm and a load of other dangerous products.
